‘O mighty ones ‘Cross endless land thee stride This frozen domain yours To rule with neither hearth nor home ‘O timeless ones Thou art the sky’s firstborn Inherit the chill soil From within which all life doth spring Woe to thee who would invoke The sky-children’s fury For as surely as night falls They shall dim thine life-light Freely thine rule with club and with flame This frostbitten land which winter doth claim Ancient breath drawn from oak, stream, and stone Thy vigil eternal, never alone
2.
Here I lay ‘Cross crumbling walls Beyond the Gates It was here In the chill fall I met my fate All I was I am no more My life’s blood was gave To the soil Beneath the oak A shallow grave I drift on Through forests dark Endlessly I roam Centuries Forget my name Forlorn and alone..

The autumn air was crisp The streams were cool to the touch Far across the hills Songs of joy were sang Slowly there came a mist So dark, yet lovely, it grew In its sweet embrace A dirge of bells rang The sunshine left with the warmth of the light And the days did fade into an endless night All of the love which used to there abound Seemed to disappear without so much a sound All of the plants began to wilt and die As sorrow took its roots under the cool black sky Dreams began to twist while everyone slept Hope had flown away and in darkness crept

The pale moon rises Dripping, oozing Onto lands below Nourishing ichor Bleeding, soaking Into endless snow Deep down roots subsist Drinking, letting Ageless forests grow Mountains bear witness Solemn, silence Where crystal rivers flow The scrolls foretold Of hearts so cold That the world below shall send When night returns The light shall burn And the age of gods shall end Summer’s warmth is fading Chilling, leaving Lands between behind Autumn’s breeze beckons Whispering, calling Spirits so inclined Forests frozen over Icy, deadly Essence of all things Frigid night approaches Haunting, precious Solitude it brings The gods shall fail The heavens wail A new age of stars shall rise Eternal night The moon is right Our sign carved upon the skies We remain forgotten Furtive and obscure Our primal fires kindled Ambitious and impure This shadowed realm we claim Our kingdom far below Beneath the noble gods Where Ancient Winds Blow
